This

town is

We hope

What does VaFeltre
mean? |
 |
|
Lorna Holland is
from the state of
Virginia, and Dante
is a resident of
Feltre. They both
wanted to unite
their home towns, so
the "VA" of "VaFeltre"
comes from Virginia. |
|

 |
Our Story
Dante and I met in
Rome several years
ago, when he was
working for the same
company that hired
me to conduct tours of the Roman Forum.
We shared a staff
apartment with
several other
employees.
Inevitably, Dante
would start talking
about Feltre, his
native home town,
and I would talk
about Virginia and
DC. Six months
later, we started
dating. Our “dates”
took place in
Germany, South
America, and
eventually, in
Feltre, to meet his
family.
Dante
had
spent
time in
the US,
but
never in
Virginia.
When we
got
home, I
tried to
take him
around
to the
mountains,
the
ocean,
into
Washington,
DC, just
to show
the
place
off a
bit. It
was
exciting
for me
to hear
him tell
people
it was
his
favorite
place in
the
States.

We have made it back
to Feltre, and
inevitably, we are
torn; when we are in
Italy, we want to be
in the States, and
when we are in the
States, we can’t
wait to get back to
Italy. |

Eventually we
decided to use our
background in
tourism and
hospitality to form
a tour company that
would allow us to
show Feltre and
Northern Italy to
people who had never
been there, and vice
versa in Virginia
and the US.
It is our pleasure
to show you the
places we have
fallen in love with.
We are proud of
where we come from,
and would like you
to experience the
tastes and treasures
that make them so
special! |
