Feb 2010
One of the most
popular events in
the region. Carnival
starts around two
weeks before Ash
Wednesday and ends
on Shrove Tuesday
(Fat Tuesday or
Mardi Gras), the day
before Ash
Wednesday.

Carnival at Bassano
del Grappa
Another wonderful
place where to enjoy
the carnival.
Bassano is famous
for its Grappa
liquor. Grappa was
invented by
11th-century Italian
monks fiddling with
the leftovers of the
winemaking process:
grape pulp, seeds,
stems, and juices.

Citadel

medieval
fair,
