Why Travel With us?

VaFeltre Tours is a family-owned company based in both Northern Italy and Washington, DC. My name is Lorna Holland, I'm an american married to nutcase Dante Zambrano Cassella who is from a small town called Feltre in Northern Italy.

We are Professional Tour Guides, with years of experience working with a variety of ages and backgrounds. One of our main selling points is that we create itineraries based on what YOU want to see, instead of forcing you to follow a generic itinerary.

What really makes us special is that we come together as part of your tour package, giving you even more personalized attention. We can separate ourselves into groups, and have a pizza party with the kids, while the adults enjoy a romantic dinner in a restaurant.

Airfare is not included. You will need to purchase flights to/from your trip start/end cities. You can add these flights at a later date after you have secured your place on the trip.

Can you help us getting airfare?

Yes, of course. We will be more than happy to accommodate, search & book your airfare at no additional cost.

How many pieces of luggage can I bring with me?
Each tour/cruise member is limited to one large suitcase and small carry-on bag due to limited space on our buses, mini-buses, vans and private cars with driver.

How much of a deposit is required to book a tour?
Minimum deposit of $500 is required within 3 business days of booking. If obtaining the optional insurance, it must be purchased no later than 14 days from the time of deposit.

Is smoking allowed on the Tours bus/van?
There is a no smoking policy on our buses but there are plenty of opportunities to smoke during the frequent stops.

What are the airline restrictions on bottles and containers?
All containers for gels, liquids and aerosols must be 3-oz. or smaller and placed in a clear plastic bag. Each traveler is limited to one quart-size plastic bag which must be placed in your carry-on baggage. Do I need travel insurance?
We strongly suggest that you purchase our traveler’s insurance with Travel Guard. It is very important that you protect yourself in case of trip cancellation/interruption, travel/baggage delay or loss of baggage and medical expenses.

When is my final payment due?
Final Payment is due 90 days prior to departure.

What type of payments do you accept?
We accept checks, Visa, MasterCard, Discover & American Express.

Do I need to bring an adapter with me for any appliances?
The electrical current in Croatia and Italy  is 220 volts. Wall outlets take plugs with two rounded prongs. If you plan to use U.S. electrical appliances you will need to bring a converter/adapter. It is suggested that you purchase these items before you leave on your trip or at the airport. All hotels in Croatia supply a hair dryer in each room. Hotel rooms in major hotels in Croatia supply irons. Irons are not supplied in some hotel rooms in Croatia due to safety precautions. Hotels offer ironing, dry cleaning and laundering services for a fee.

What kind of clothing should I bring with me?
Comfortable casual clothing is recommended; the same as you would wear on a sightseeing trip in the U.S. The only time you’ll want to “dress up” a bit is at the Gala dinner. Sports jacket for men is suggested; ties are not required. Please note that there are dress codes in most churches in Croatia: no bare shoulders or knees.
